Unsilent Santas

    Every December since 1992 composer Phil Kline has invited the public to
parade around lower Manhattan with boomboxes playing his taped ambient
composition "Unsilent Night." This year, in a great New York moment, it
unexpectedly intersected with the Santacon drunken santas. I captured much
of it on video, and converted it to a Flash movie. It's 3 Megs, but should
stream for a dial-up connection.

    Today's News is a daily news digest. The idea is to take the mess of
headlines, teasers and copy the news industry churns out each day, grind it
up, zap the junk into the ether and give you just the important parts of the
stories that matter -- to give you all the news you need, and none of the
news you don't.  Unfortunately, I couldn't get anyone who's actually
qualified to do all that, so I can only offer my own best attempt....
