[mefi-projects] #077 28-Mar-2004
Two new projects this week, one from yours truly. Also, I fixed the
mefi-projects sign-up form so that it actually signs people up, which it
stopped doing a month or so ago when I added the firewall to my server.
Welcome to all the people who finally got to sign up this week, if any.
animate! <http://www.animateonline.org/>
The animate! site has just been updated with a new design, more films,
and extended resources. The site is now expanding with information pulled
directly from the artists using a web-based interface. We hope that the
site will grow into one of the largest resources for experimental animation
ever created. There is also funding available for artists/designers wanting
to make experimental animated films for television.

The Girl Watchers Club <http://www.girl-watchers.com/>
I'm helping Harry Stein promote his recent book about a group of World
War II veterans who have been meeting every week for almost four decades.
"The Girl Watchers Club" has been described as sort of a cross between "The
Greatest Generation" and "Tuesdays with Morrie." A great, inspiring read.

Got a new site or a major change to announce? E-mail the site's name, URL,
your MetaFilter user name, and a brief (fifty words or thereabouts) blurb to
mefi-projects AT jerrykindall.com. If you want to make the moderator a happy
camper, do it in the same format as the ones you see above.
