[mefi-projects] #082 23-May-2004

This week's sites have something in common. They're both Web journals of
experiences that many of us will never have the opportunities to have.

Nomad Vagabonding Along the Backroads of America
<http://www.earoil.com/west03>
    In the summer of 2003 I took a solo 5-week trip to the western USA,
living out of my truck and visiting remote locations. This is a Web travel
log with diary, pictures, movie clips, audio and maps.

Learning to Fly Planes in Pittsburgh
<http://tom.stepleton.com/Journal.html>
    Ever since I was seven years old, I wanted to fly airplanes. Now that
I'm out of college, I have the opportunity to make it happen. While I'm
working on it, I'll be recording my experiences -- partly for friends and
family, partly for people who are thinking about taking flying lessons
(especially in Pittsburgh), and partly to have something to look back on in
years down the road.

Got a new site or a major change to announce? E-mail the site's name, URL,
your MetaFilter user name, and a brief (fifty words or thereabouts) blurb to
mefi-projects AT jerrykindall.com. If you want to make the moderator a happy
camper, do it in the same format as the ones you see above.
