research on New York City nicknames, phrases, and food.  The Big Apple Web
site has, superseding all others, the most accurate history of the term "Big
Apple," plus tidbits and asides about who's buried in Grant's tomb, the
Yankee's "Bronx Bombers" nickname, Waldorf Salad, Manhattan Cocktail, Tin
Pan Alley, and lots more.
